This is BAS EU/Political group event, an informal gathering over a glass of wine, to discuss the interests of the group, organizational issues, as well as the leading topics for the next meetings such as "The Polish Presidency" and "Introducion of the Euro". The 9th British Alumni Society (BAS) Annual General Meeting took place on 18 December at the British Ambassador’s Residence, organised by BAS and the British Embassy.
More than 50 BAS members from all around Poland gathered to take part in the meeting and listen to guest speaker and chair of the renowned think tank demosEuropa, Pawel Swieboda, give his views on Poland’s Presidency of the EU in 2011. Mr Swieboda’s interesting speech provoked a lively discussion and some provocative questions and the debate continued during a post-meeting reception hosted by the Ambassador. |
